Quick note on the administrative side, I'll be out of town tomorrow and Wednesday visiting family. So I would say expect new posts probably on Thursday and Saturday. I've still got two requests to finish that I've been sitting on for way too long, but I want to take some serious time to make sure they're done right. Hopefully I'll finish at least one of them this week. Now on to today's post.
This is a shout out to all the silent visitors out there. I spend a lot of time talking about my followers and fellow captioners, but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate everyone who takes the time to visit this blog. Whether you've just never taken the time to create an account, or maybe you never anything you want to comment about, I just wanted to say thanks for your silent support. It always makes me feel good to see a high pageview count at the end of the day.
And to those of you who have ever thought about getting a little more involved, please do. As a former lurker, I can say that you definitely get more out of the community once you start talking to people. Trust me, we don't bite (well, some do...but only if you ask nicely.)

Kylie's Perspective
Happy Holidays Everyone! And to those of you who celebrate, Merry Christmas! I hope you enjoy your present. It's been almost a month since I last did a Kylie caption, so I figured it was about time for her to make another appearance. Hopefully it'll give you a laugh or two.
From the way things are looking now, I'm going to try to start turning out new material on a regular basis again starting this week. I'm going to try to go back to the regular schedule, but if that doesn't work I'm still going to push for three new captions anyway. It's been too long since I was regularly writing new material for all you amazing readers, so it's time for me to get back on top of things.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy any festivities you're taking part in, even if that just means some quality time with our good friend the Internet. See you Monday.

Why Settle?
What? It's over? I have free time again?
Yep, I'm back. Well...sort of. Things have finally settled down for me after months of a never ending list of things I had to get done. But if everything goes according to plan, I should be done with the craziness for a while. Which means I'm back to captioning. The reason I say sort of, is things won't be on a schedule again for probably another week. I still have stuff that needs to get done, but it's manageable now. So now I just have to figure out a new schedule that lets me get everything in. That won't happen until after the holidays, but until then I'll try to turn out some new stuff for all of you lovely readers. Thanks for hanging in there with me, now let's see if I can make it worth the wait.

Easier
Looking at my schedule, I'm thinking I'll probably do one more update before the holidays. After that, I'm really hoping to get back to my normal posting timeline. As for this caption, I liked it more as an idea than I do actually seeing it written. I was trying to capture a feeling and it came up short, or at least I think it did because I know what I was actually trying to go for and I just couldn't put it into words. Oh well, at least it looks pretty. Here's hoping I'll find more time and motivation before too long.

All Knowing Smiles
Hey everyone, I hope you all are doing well. Things are getting a little better for me, but free time and motivation are both pretty scarce so it's still going to be a while before things get back to normal. But I wanted to do something as I haven't posted in a while so I pulled this together this afternoon. It's not the most erotic thing I've written, but I really like the story and the image seems to fit pretty well with it. It felt good to write again and I hope to be doing a lot more of it soon.

Decision Time
Hey everyone... Not much to say for this update. So...um....Have a good weekend? Yeah, I guess I'll leave it at that.

Her Smile
I didn't have a ton of time to write this week, but I knew that I wanted to do something a little different than the usual. So I decided on focusing on how a third party might react to a transformation, using a true second person perspective. Second person is what was used for the old Choose-Your-Own-Adventure books and not much else. That's probably because it can be a little awkward to write and read since it tells the reader what he or she is doing, but I wanted to see if I could pull it off. You'll have to let me know if I was successful. See you Friday.

All Work and No Play?
Sometimes I really hate my brain. When I finally have a few days off to do nothing except write, of course I lose my motivation. I wouldn't go as far as to say it was writer's block, but most of what I tried to do really sucked. I really can't catch a break. Fortunately, I did manage to turn out a new Kylie caption for today, I hope some of you get a laugh out of it. The one positive point from my downtime was I managed to restock my image folder with around 50 new pics just waiting to be captioned for when I actually have the time and motivation to do so. I wonder if that will ever happen. Happy Monday everyone.

Corruption
And I'm only an hour and a half late, not too bad. The last update focused on the submissive aspect of a transformation, so I decided to do a thematic prequel to the situation. It's not the same situation, but it's not hard to see how the two tie together. I love a good monologue, and once I got this one started it pretty much wrote itself. I didn't do a whole lot of editing, so this is as close to stream of consciousness as you'll probably see from me. It's always fun to create a character and just let them talk for a while. If you're lucky you'll end up somewhere interesting. Have a good weekend everyone.

Thorough Punishment
Sorry about the delay, but here you go. I haven't done anything in the third person for a while, so I decided to go back to it. I really prefer the first person, but I like to mix things up to add a little diversity to my work. I also haven't described a transformation in a while, so I threw in one of those as well. Honestly, I always feel like these types of captions are some of my weaker pieces. I guess that's because I write dialog so easily I tend to neglect more distant perspectives, so I don't practice them as much as I should. I've read so many captions and stories that describe transformations so much better than I ever could, so I tend to avoid them as no one likes admitting their shortcomings. But it's something I really need to do more often as that's the only way I'm ever going to get better at it. See you Wednesday.

A Toss Up
I'm exhausted. I'm going to keep it short today as I have almost no energy right now. I can't tell you how much I need a few days off. Enjoy the weekend everyone, there's a pretty good chance I'm going to sleep through the whole thing.

Altering the Arrangement
I've got good news and bad news. The good news is I've managed to finish two new captions so that the updates are now back on schedule. The bad news is life decided I wasn't done with the insanity of the past two weeks so I didn't have a lot of time to make these. So while they're both fairly short, it's better than nothing. Eventually I'm going to find the time to sit down and write something longer. As much as I love single panels, I'm feeling the need to do something with a little more depth. Now I just have to find a way to get the world to give me the time to do actually do it. See you Friday.

A Delightful Spell
Happy Monday everyone. As of right now this week is looking to be much better than the past two for me, which hopefully means everything is back on schedule. Here are a couple of short captions I pulled together for you, pretty typical to most of my earlier work. Seeing as I had taken a bit of a forced break, I wanted to make some pieces I know I know how to write. I turned these out pretty easily so everything's looking good for getting back to normal. See you Wednesday.

The Birth of Kylie
Before I get into the contents of today's post, just a quick administrative comment. I've decided that in order to catch up for missing last week, Monday's and Wednesday's updates will have two captions instead of one (assuming nothing crazy happens, fingers crossed.) So that just leaves one more caption to take care of, which brings us back to today's update.
I've decided that after a year and a half of writing captions, it was about time I included myself in one. I've held off on doing this for so long because I've always felt that I could write a better story if I created completely new characters every time. It's the same reason I don't do sequels to my captions, I tell the story I want to tell and then I move on. But during these past two weeks I came up with an idea that I liked so much I was willing to break both of those patterns, her name was Kylie.
I've seen a lot of captions where the guy loses himself to a female persona (including some of which I've written myself.) So I started to think, what if he didn't disappear. What if instead of being trapped in the situation, it was more like he was stuck in the passenger seat. So I played around with the idea of having two personalities in one body, the usual sort of dominant/submissive relationship that would cause, but something didn't feel right. I had changed the general premise, but I was still writing the same stuff I always had. So I decided to have some fun with it. I gave it a more playful tone, and threw in a little sarcastic humor. The final piece of the puzzle came when I realized that instead of being just two people in one body, I could also make it two different bodies in one life. When one personality is in control the body is male, when the other takes over it's female. But both personalities are always present and can constantly comment on what the other is doing.
The decision to include myself came when I realized how much enjoyed this idea, and this was something that wasn't going to be a one time affair. I figured there wasn't any better way to ensure I'd do this series justice than to have a more personal stake in seeing it's done right. I hope you all enjoy it, because I can promise that this is just the beginning.

The Big Reveal
Hey everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. I spent most of mine working which wasn't a whole lot of fun, but I least I got some stuff accomplished; such as this caption. I think I could have done a better job with the actual writing, but I really like this concept. But that's the downside to putting myself on a deadline. As much as I would have loved to keep rewriting this until I got it right, I needed to put out a new caption. It should hopefully continue to make my captions better in the long run, but you'll have to be the judge of that. See you Wednesday.

Live Chat
This is a long overdue request for Amber Smithe. She asked me to do a transformation based on a sex chat scenario and gave me a general idea of what she wanted. That was almost a month ago. So hopefully this caption was worth the wait. I really wished that I could have done more with the format, maybe put in some boxes that looked like chat windows, but that would've meant a much longer delay and I just couldn't do that. I really like the idea though, so maybe once I have the time I'll revisit this idea and try to get the format to better reflect the content. Have a good weekend everyone.

The Kind of Body
Another caption where the picture gave me a general idea of where to start, and then I just ran with it to see where I ended up. I certainly didn't go anywhere new with this one, but they can't all be groundbreaking. Sometimes you just revisit an old idea and hope you add a little something new to it. I'm not sure I accomplished that goal either, but I still like how this one turned out. If a situation shows up enough to become to cliche, it was probably to be good enough to warrant repeating in the first place. Either that or I'm just lazy, which is probably true as well. See you Friday.

Your Passion
1,000,000 views. No matter how many times I look at that number I still can't believe it. When I started this blog six and half months ago I thought if I was really lucky, I might hit that number in little more than year. Thank you all for proving me wrong. For those of you in a rush, or for those of you who don't care about my ramblings, feel free to skip the rest of this and go straight to the caption. I promise I won't be offended.
To those of you still reading, I'd like to give you a little insight to how I ended up making this caption, how I wound up here, and how much your support means to me. I got into the tg community in the summer of 2010. I'm not sure what brought me there, but it caught my interest and I decided to look around and see what people were doing. After a few weeks of lurking, I began to think that I could make some decent captions if I tried. I had always enjoyed writing, but I had never done much of it outside of school. The very first caption I made I used my favorite model at the time Gabrille Lupin. It turned out okay, and it got some positive feedback over on tf-media, so I decided to keep doing it. I ended up posting around 150 captions on tf-media before it shut down. As much as I hated to see the site go under, but it gave me the push to start this blog. I knew that if I wanted to keep getting better, I needed to keep a consistent writing schedule, which is why I tried to stick to three uploads a week.
If it wasn't for all of the feedback I got from you all, I don't know if I'd still be here. I think that my interest in tg has moved past the novelty/fetish stage, and is now about creating a situation in which to write. I'm constantly looking to see what other authors are making and checking to see how my work is going over with all of you.
So when it came time to make this caption, I wanted to do something special. For the past two weeks I've been racking my brain for what I could possible do to mark this milestone. I tried going crazy over the top, but I couldn't find a photo set I liked enough, and I've never been great at doing super long stories. So I decided to go back to basics, maybe try to do something similar to what I did with my 100th caption. It was looking at that caption that I realized what I wanted to do. I've always felt my single panel caps were my strongest, especially when I leave them a little open ended. I also knew I wanted to involve the reader directly, as a sort of thank you for all of your support. I went back to the first model I ever capped (She goes by Ariel now, but if you want to find her it's probably easiest to search for piper fawn). I went through hundreds of pictures until I found this one. It wasn't anything overly spectacular, but her expression was perfect. I've done poetry once before, but it was more of a joke then. I wanted to see what I could do with a more serious tone, and I hope most of you can connect with what it says.
To end this obscenely long post, I just wanted to say thank you again. I never thought I would be writing like this on such a consistent basis, and enjoying every minute of it. You guys have given me a passion I otherwise would never have explored, and I can never thank you enough for it. My hope is that through my work, I'm able to give back a little of that to all of you. You all are the reason I'm here, so if you keep sharing your passion for tg with me, I'll keep sharing my passion for writing with you.

Immersion Therapy
Happy Friday everyone. I'm so glad to finally get a few days off, I've had a ton of work to do for the past two weeks so I desperately need a short break. As for this series, I'm not sure if I like it. I've been sitting on this photo set for probably close to six months and just have never been able to put a good story together. I was tired of seeing it in my pics folder, so today I just decided I was finishing this, no matter how it turned out. Looking back on it now, I think I did alright. I'm just glad to finally have it done. See you Monday.

Consolation Prize
Another letter format! I guess I liked the first one so much I felt the need to make another. Yay for easy plot devices! As if the tg world didn't have enough of those already... What actually happened was life got in the way of finishing the series I was working on so I needed to make something that was only one panel. Going through my image catalog I found this pic and I started writing whatever came to mind. A few quick edits later and this is what I got. For how quickly I pulled this together I think it turned out pretty well. Hopefully the rest of the week will be a little smoother so I can finish up something a little longer for Friday.

Just Like Jenny
Woah, what the hell is this? I'll tell you what it is, this is the first caption I've made using GIMP. For those of you who don't know, I make all of my captions in PowerPoint. But Rauk, that's crazy, you can do so much more with better programs. I know, but as I've stated over and over, I'm primarily a writer, and up until recently I really didn't care about my how my captions looked, as long as it showed the story and whatever pic I was using in a reasonable manner. I also liked to think that when I wanted, I did a pretty nice job using PowerPoint, such as with the last piece I posted. But for this caption, I had to break down and use something that give my a longer image length. Normally I would just find another image and make it two panels, but I couldn't find anything that worked. I have to say, working with GIMP was...an experience. I'm sure once I figure out all the ins and outs it'll be a decent program to use, but as it was it took me about four times longer than usual to make this caption. I think it turned out pretty well, but with my current schedule I don't know when I'll have the time to sit down and mess around enough to really get a feel for it.

Dear Caroline
Here's the first of a several short sequences you'll be seeing in the next few weeks. As you can obviously notice, I took a bit of a deviation from my usual caption style with this one. The text is fairly typical, but with my usual layouts I just couldn't get the feel I wanted. So I started playing around with backgrounds and styles until I realized I could make this actually look like a letter with pictures enclosed. I really like the way this turned out as I think it looks, for lack of a better term, more professional. I'm usually so focused on getting out my story, I let the actual appearance of the caption suffer. In an effort to keep pushing my work to a higher standard, I'm going to try to fix that trend in future captions. Have a good weekend everyone.
